Sherry Scullion, MBA

President & CEO

Sherry Scullion is the President of the Scullion Strategy Group and more than 25 years' experience in product development and  leadership roles, both domestically and globally across a broad scope of industries including animal health, aviation and consumer electronics. She is a visionary with expertise in product launches, product marketing, product ideation, R&D pipeline strategy, pipeline gap analyses and new product valuations to determine the future health of one’s business.  She has held numerous roles in product innovation, strategy, product marketing and design engineering in multiple industries. The majority of her career has been in animal health focusing in Marketing and Research & Development strategy in the areas of analgesics, behavior, dermatology, endocrinology, oncology, ophthalmology, pain/arthritis and parasitology.   She has successfully led cross-functional, cross-cultural and cross-geographical teams in new product launches, R&D, operations and manufacturing and assembled Advisory Boards with world leading Key Opinion Leaders, particularly in the area of veterinary oncology.

 

Sherry founded the Scullion Strategy Group to help companies bring innovative products and services to market in the biotech space. Fueled by a personal passion for innovation, Sherry Scullion recognized the need to support start-ups and new channel entrants commercialize their innovative products and services.  Inspired by this opportunity, Sherry assembled a talented team of experts that could support clients through the various stages of a product development and launch.

 

She has worked for companies such as, Elanco Animal Health, A Division of Eli Lilly and Company, Novartis Animal Health, B/E Aerospace, Inc. and Philips Communication and Security Systems (now Bosch Security Systems B.V.) in marketing, strategy, product development and design engineering roles.

 

She most recently served on the Board of Directors and was the Vice President of Branding from 2015 through 2016 for the Queen's Foundation, a state-wide 501c3 nonprofit organization in North Carolina that prepares under-served middle and high school young women for higher education serving girls in poverty who are first in their families to go to college.  She has also participated in numerous volunteer opportunities, both professionally and for non-profits, such as a Speaker and Leadership Sponsor for the Family Services of the Piedmont (2007-2016), Chairman of the United Way of Greater Greensboro at Novartis Animal Health (2009), Co-Chairman of the United Way of Greater Greensboro at Novartis Animal Health (2008), Speaker at the Wake Forest University Women in Business Panel (2006) and Speaker at the Wake Forest University MBA Marketing Panel (2006).

 

Sherry was a nominee for the 2017 Feather In Her Cap Award, an award for recognizing women leaders who have contributed to the animal health industry, was awarded the 2016 Commercial Operations Value Add Award for turning opportunities into value for the business and the 2016 Quarterly Winner of the Value Add Award for Percorten®-V from Elanco Animal Health.  She was also the 2005 and 2006 Winner of the Silver Anvil Award for Marketing in the Consumer Products Healthcare Category and the 2004 Winner of Novartis EX-TRA Consumer Insights Award for an Exceptional Product Launch for the launch of Deramaxx®.

 

Sherry Scullion holds an Executive Certificate in Strategy and Innovation from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, an MBA from Wake Forest University with a Marketing Concentration and a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology from the State University of New York College at Buffalo.
