Equine & Large Animal Sales & Distribution Strategy
Marlon Harris has nearly 35 years in the animal health industry in sales management and product sales for equine and large animal markets. He has a strong track record of following industry trends and conditions, understanding how they impact the business and knowing what to implement and execute to prepare and potentially offset those effects. He has an impeccable reputation in the industry for his integrity, his mentoring and management skills and his ability to collaborate to substantially expand business with small accounts in new territories up to large national accounts.
He has held several senior sales management roles in national accounts, as an Equine Sales Specialist and in regional sales management for companies such as Merial (now Boehringer Ingelheim Animal Health), Boehringer Ingelheim Vetmedica and Lextron Animal Health. While at Merial, he was responsible for developing and successfully executing business plans with some of the largest distributors in the US, such as Henry Schein, Patterson, MWI Veterinary Supply and numerous others. He has also led a number of product training programs and product launches in the equine industry.
He was honored as Merial Vital Circle Winner (2016, 2002) and awarded the Henry Schein Animal Health Equine Vendor Partner of the Year (2016, 2014), Henry Schein Animal Health Bovine Vendor Partner of the Year (2016) and a Merial Circle of Excellence Winner (2003, 2002).
Outside the animal health pharmaceutical industry, Marlon is a legend in his own right in the International Professional Rodeo Association as a 6-time Top 15 Finalist in World Standings (Bareback), qualifying 3 out of 6 years in the Top 5 World Standings, a 2-time Southeast Region Champion and a 2-time Florida State Champion.
