Chris Scullion is the Vice President of the Scullion Strategy Group and leads the operations side of the business. He has over 30 years’ experience in leadership, management and operations in aviation maintenance companies. His extensive experience includes turnaround programs leading companies into profitability, developing growth strategies and leading domestic and international sales organizations. He has a record of creating innovating workforce solutions and positioning companies for growth and increased profitability. Chris has held numerous executive management roles in company acquisitions, union avoidance, workforce planning, costing and efficiency, pricing, marketing and sales.
Chris has been a member of several innovative teams over his many years in aviation maintenance. He began his career with the US Coast Guard Air Rescue Unit as a Search and Rescue and Avionics Technician and progressed his career to the corporate levels including the Director of Recruitment for heavy aircraft Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul companies (MROs) and Vice President roles for Sales and Marketing in aviation staffing organizations. Chris has worked in all technical disciplines in aviation maintenance prior to working at the executive level which gives him the unique ability to understand and drill down to the practical skill level needs required to build the best technical teams; an edge not typically found in many human resource departments.
He has led workforce integration and management programs through three (3) acquisitions overseeing 6,000+ direct and contracted workers. He has also been instrumental in other organizations leading the growth in international sales and being the point person to turn around a division that was losing millions of dollars annually to positive sales and profitability in less than 16 months' time.
Chris has worked for companies such as, Strom Defense and Aeroteams, both divisions of Strom Aviation, Inc., Aircraft On Ground, Inc. (AOG) and TIMCO (now Haeco Americas).
Chris Scullion holds an FAA Licensed Airframe Certification and studied Liberal Arts at Western Carolina University. He also served in the United States Coast Guard as a Search and Rescue Aircrewman and Aviation Electrician’s Mate and was a recipient of four (4) Sikorsky Winged S Air Rescue Awards for skill and courage while participating in a lifesaving mission with a Sikorsky Helicopter.
Chris’s career as an Avionics and Mechanic Technician, Recruiter, Corporate Director, Vice President and General Manager give him a unique understanding of a company’s ability to be productive and create a sales plan to attain growth in challenging markets. Whenever possible, Chris prefers to utilize the untapped resources of today's returning veterans.
